Anyone know if I can be issued a copy of my birth certificate here in town? If it matters, I was born in Missouri.

I could very well be wrong here, but I think you may have to apply for a birth certificate in Jefferson City.

Since you were born in Missouri, you can get a copy of your birth certificate at the Phelps County Health Department (or any health department in the state.)

It's in Suite G51 of the Courthouse building, 200 N Main St. It's also a good alternative to Student Death when it comes to things like vaccinations and disease testing.

I have no clue how much it costs, but it's probably under $15. There's a company online (Google "vitalstat") that will do all the legwork for you when it comes to getting a birth certificate, and that's how much they charge for a certificate.

And no, I haven't stabbed myself with a rusty nail, but it has been more than seven years since my last one. I have this odd predilection to give myself a major injury whenever I need a new shot, and I'm trying to avoid that this time.
