So yeah, the bomb threat at the CSF today around 1 ish, wierd, I guess it is the second time it has happened this week, also happened on Monday, I guess both times somebody called the PD (don't know if it was UPD or RPD) and said that there was a bomb in CSF, or at least that is what Andy said.
Yeah, they apparently weren't very concerned about it... people were standing right next to the door, and there weren't any signs or yellow tape warning people to stay out.
At 12:44 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007) an unidentified caller to the UMR Police Department reported a bomb in "the building" set to detonate in 15 minutes. UMR PD evacuated the Campus Support Facility for approximately 35 minutes while police investigated the call. No bomb was found and the deadline passed, so faculty, staff and students were allowed to return to the building.
UMR Police indicate they're making progress in the investigation to identify the caller.
Similar threats were made on Monday, Sept. 3, and Wednesday, Sept. 5.
Due to technical difficulties, notices of the first two bomb threats weren't delivered to the student listserv.

So, even though he would put a bomb in the building, we are trusting him to be honest about the detonation time.... Makes sense to me.
Don't we have a campus alert system for things such as this? Maybe that is only for super dangerous things like a gun or a knife. Lord knows a bomb can't hurt anyone...

Doesn't anyone know that this is an Al Qaeda probe tactic? These are the same tactics they used just before 9/11. They are looking for weakness in our security system, and are testing our defenses.
lol... I hope they come to my house... I have guns.

if anyone knows who did it, let them know they WILL be going to jail for a long time. One time isnt a joke and will get you a jail sentence, 3 and you are asking for it. This will be traced. It isnt funny
I think he makes a good point (NOT about the Al Quaeda thing, but about testing our security). Why not call in a threat at CSF while actually putting one in McNutt (obviously no one would do that, that is where I spend the bulk of my time and NO ONE would want to hurt little old me....) The campus OBVIOUSLY doesn't take these things seriously, they didn't even bother mentioning the last two until today.
