Anybody else hear a big boom last night near the Quad or Triangle? We heard a big boom and then saw a flash of light outside. Not your typical mine explosion or sonic boom. Anybody else know anything?

The Rolla SWAT team set off a flashbang grenade for zombie defense training for undead week. They also had all their equipment there for people to check out. Good stuff.
On a slightly related note, did anyone else experience a sewage explosion on 16th st? It seems the Rolla Sewer truck was doing something to the main out in the street and caused sewer gas to erupt from all our sewage orifices (sink, toilet, etc)... it was bad

Central and Troop I do flashbang tests in stewart apartments every once in awhile.

the only reason i can think that they have one is that we are on i44: drug alley. other than that,i was thinking it may have just been all the parking tickets, but then i realized that it is Upo, not ropo giving out the tickets.
Yeah, one of the members was telling me how they always do drug busts in the trailer parks. He also said that sometimes they have to go to other cities to relieve that city's SWAT team if they have been 'on a mission' for a while. Cool stuff.

The Miner said that the SWAT team was doing a demonstration for UMR students. Unfortunately that issue has seem to have disappeared from campus.
