I tried several times to VPN and access the forums, but I couldn't. Why is that? VPN works, and I can access my S and W drives just fine. But seek is gone when I'm off campus. Am I doing something wrong, or is there a different link or something?

The forums were down for most of the day yesterday if this was recently.

Port 1234 works as I haven't been able to see seek for about a month as I can no longer VPN in. (I think that they killed my VPN access as I haven't been at Rolla for a year now.)
EDIT: Port 1234 is no longer working but I will not say which ports are for fear that they to will stop working

the ports work for a few minutes until the scanner sees it being used and thinks its a p2p port. then it gets shut down. caused heretic a few grey hairs when seek was moved back on campus.

So would it be possible to have an off campus server setup that negotiates ports for users to connect to seek? Just a page that redirects to an unblocked port?
It makes sense in my head, and what I've said doesn't do it justice.

Negotiated Port
When a port gets blocked, have apache listen on a new port... Or get a bit more sophisticated and have apache listen on multiple ports and distribute off campus users between them so that you don't trip the detection stuff...
