For those of us that are graduating post name change and don't want MST on our diplomas, can it just say UMR? I sure hope so. My catalog year is UMR and I paid them for the last 4 years. Anyone know?

Yes, you have the choice.

Well, you can't have it say UMR, or really University of Missouri - Rolla...but you can get the old diploma if you want

About a year ago (nearly exactly) this topic was discussed here on seek forums and, while I originally felt just as you do, this info changed my mind:
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=18381&p=182250&hilit=diploma#p182250

The link in that post no longer works, but I remember looking at the image and what is said in that post is true. The diploma is kind of lame, saying University of Missouri in big letters at the top and then mentions Rolla only near the bottom. I'd prefer a diploma that says "University of Missouri - Rolla" over anything else, but on the other hand I'd prefer "Missouri University of Science & Technology" over "University of Missouri" with only a small mention of Rolla at the bottom.

Does anyone know how we'll go about making that choice? I'd rather have the old one, but have no idea how to go about getting the old one.
