How do you tell your friends what you are doing?

Mostly I use Twitter which auto updates Facebook as well. And before someone makes the joke, yes I have friends.

How come there's not an option for telling them in person? It's pretty easy to just pound on the wall between your rooms and say "hey faggot i'm going to walmart, want to come?"
