I'm tired of talking to the same people. Time for some recruitment. Everyone that reads this, tell someone about the forums today. Then do it again. He who tells the most wins an internet cookie.

Unfortunately, I doubt it will work. The only reason Seek had a huge following in the past was because if it's "extra-curricular" functionality. Unless Seek has something to offer, I doubt it's going to gain much fresh blood in it's neutered form.

Perfect! Now THAT's the kind of negativity that wins people to your cause.

I wouldn't quite call that negativity as much as I would call it "positive attitude with expierence". I'm not shooting down the idea, I'm merely suggesting we give the fresh blood incentive to come to seek. I.e. maybe find another prodigy, and have them devote their time to making "functionality".

If that was the case, then we wouldn't *need* to recruit fresh blood. Most of the newer students today are in the age of twitter, facebook, and texting. Forums probably come across as archaic and boring.

The forum has pretty much been dead since 2005/2006 when it first started going down. There hasn't been a whole lot of use of it since then on a regular basis, and with every year the use declines which seems to me that it means that less people with every year are aware of the site.

The "functionality" really was the draw. You all should have seen it in 2004, it was a beautiful mess.

Someone (not berto) should implement a "quality" post count. Then Spaceman Spiff would win.

Oh 2004, it was a golden year for seek42.

Seek version early-2004 was the single influence in my life that opened the world of keygens, hacked *.exe's, torrents, shares, rips, and pirating. It was a beautiful and free-spirited time.
