I don't know that many of you, if any, still live in the Rolla area (i know I'm not), but it looks like the legendary storm-splitting "hell shield" that was strong and functional during our time as students has fallen. Rolla took a hard hit from at least one good tornado tonight, and the city looks like it is in ruins from social media posts.

I hope everyone is safe. The winds across Oklahoma that built this wave of storms moving across the continent were absolutely terrible and turned a lot of neighborhoods across the state into raging infernos.

This is still working its way across the US, so I hope those of you to the east take care. From the promised blizzards in the north amd northeast to the tornadoes predicted across to Florida, it looks like a challenge for everyone.
