I'd like to play some softball or baseball. Does anyone know how I'd go about being on an intramural team this coming year? The reason I ask is because I'm not in a fraternity or a residence hall or anything like that. Does anyone get together and play that needs another player?

yeah if you are any good then there would be a ton of teams that would more than likely take you on. If you aren't, well...there are still a lot of teams that will take you on still. Just talk to people wearing IM shirts in class (Knowns, Silver Bullets, Ramrod, etc.) and they'll let you know how to get on.

I'd be up for trying to get a team together, I'm not in the dorms or frat either. I can probably get about 4 decent players together, including myself. Let me know if you are up for making a team.

Also are you up for any other sports than just softball?

If you want to start your own team, just show up to the first Intramural meeting and propose your team to be made. You will be in the Independent League for the first year, but you will be able to play.

That's not even true... anyone can get an independent team... the difference between that and the lower division... in div sports, you have to compete in a certain amount, and you can win and maybe go up in div next year... but all you have to do is be voted in by the existing members of the division.
