There is medical technology where you build something (a nose, an ear, a heart valve, a penis) called a scaffold from a bioactive ceramic and implant it with stem cells from the patients own bone marrow or other tissue, and then implant the scaffold in an animal (such as a rat, seen the picture of a hairless rat with a human ear growning on the back?) which supplies the stem cells with blood and therefore oxygen and nutrients. The stem cells grow throughout the scaffold, and eventually dissolve the scaffold. It's possible, but I don't know about the whole tube with fluid thing.

I think it's a fake, because the tube with fluid sounds ridiculous. If they had said something that makes sense, sure.

No matter how fake it probably is, it's still funny.
