He's not on steroids, he's just got one hell of a swing. Just a damn perfect cut. hit everyball with almost the same arc. Not to mention his pitching coach was tossing him perfect 70 MPH hanging fastballs that he could connect with.

Yeah, I was definitely being sarcastic about that. I'm still kinda depressed that Tex only put up two homers. In my HRD progression chart, I actually had him going up against Andruw Jones in the final round. That sure didn't happen! Prior to Abreu hitting 24 dingers in the first round, did anyone honestly expect the final round to be Pudge vs. Abreu?! I doubt it.

Perhaps Brian Roberts should have hit for the USA? :)

Ya, I didn't like Teixtera (I think that's how ya spell it) hitting for the US. He's having a decent enough season, but there are some that are doing better. Think the only reason he got it was because he was last years MVP of the All-Star game.

After Abreu's horrible second round swinging (got like 8 outs before he homered one), I really didn't expect him to make it into the third round. Then again, I didn't expect Ortiz to suck as badly as he did there, either. After seeing Pudge hit in round two, I knew that he was going into the third round. But Abreu pulled it outta his ass in the final round, though.

Too bad he didn't do much in the actual game.

Teixiera wasn't last year's All Star MVP, I'm pretty sure Alfonso Soriano was. The reason he was nominated for the United States is because Derrek Lee had just had his shoulder injury that he was nursing, and Teixeira had recently pulled ahead of A-Rod for the AL lead in home runs.
