Oh you St. Louis Cardinals, why must you continually torment me so...... Season after season, hopes....so high....rising as the season goes on....then dashed late in the post season....why must you do this to me?!?!

I'd much rather see the Cardinals do it, but that's looking more and more like wishful thinking.

In my Poli Sci class, I made a prediction at the beginning of the year that it'd be the Astros and White Sox. They all laughed at me (bunch o' Cards fans, those poor, misguided fools). And, today, wouldn'tja know, the Astros are going to take game 5 from the Cards and make it into the WS.

THEN AGAIN, Carpenter is pitching tonight...

this is Pettitte at home man, he's going to rock.
and hopefully he wont take a line drive to the knee during batting practice again. if he doesnt, he'll probably pitch better.

Hell no I don't, I even was saying they would win 4-7 of the WS last year just to further torment Boston. Hope springs eternal, but lets just say I am a concerned fan...

Both of the pitches were balls. La Russa shouldn't have argued over the call that got him ejected. It was close, but not that close.

But the pitch that Edmonds got tossed over was basically the same pitch and it was called a strike for him.

In any event the Cards were freely capable of making it a moot issue by just playing better baseball, but they couldn't do it last night.
