"You want fries with that?"

Photo: Neva Strein, 79, Jefferson City, apparently failed to stop in the Jefferson Street McDonald's parking lot and landed in the Kentucky Fried Chicken drive-thru.

Strein was taken to an area hospital with minor scrapes and complaints of back pain.

Another reason why old people shouldn't be allowed to drive.

Funny my roommate just did a speech for speech 85 about why old people shouldn't drive. To bad he didn't have to use as a visual aid.

Driver's test at 65 and every 5 years after that. Is it really such a tough concept?

Every year. The medical condition of old people changes quickly. A lot can happen in 5 years...hell, after a stroke, my grandpa went from a decent driver to not being able to drive at all within a week.

I wouldn't mind drivers tests for everybody under 65 every 5 years though. Can help keep some of the younger crappy drivers off the road.

The 5 years is a step in the right direction, though. Tell someone every year, and they're more likely to vote against it. Eventually we might get there, but one step at a time.
