Earlier this morning, Steve Irwin (aka The Crocodile Hunter) was killed by a sting ray. He was stung at the heart and was luckily killed instantly, but this is a terrible tragedy. I was never a huge fan of 'The Crocodile Hunter,' but I respected Mr. Irwin greatly for pushing himself to the limit. He did the crazy shit that wow'd the entire world. He was an international phenomenon. Australia has lost a nice man, a good hero, and a great family man.

I was pretty taken back too.

Just FYI, he wasn't killed instantly. He had enough time to pull the barb out of his chest. He died shortly after that, however.

That's sad. But then again, I kind of figured he would meet his end whilst doing something dangerous.
