What the hell is it with all of the fights breaking out, are the atheletes growing more stupid or what?

Funny how they interviewed one of the players later on and he said something like "it wasn't even as bad as the Pacers/Pistons game last night".

Saying something like that just goes to help prove the previous statement about athletes getting dumber.
If I were the commissioner, though, I would have ended the football game right there, and told both the teams that they're sitting at home for the rest of the season. No bowl games, no crowds, no nothing. That punishment is not as bad as it could be, since that is the last regular season game for the teams, so I would also consider a suspension like they've done with Tennessee where they can't be conference champs for a year or something like that, just to drive the point home.
Fact is, there's no place in sports for uncontrolled, brutal, fights like have happened between the football teams last weekend (Steelers and who else had the pre-game fight?), Pacers-Piston, and Clemson-S.C. It's bullshit and I'm insulted to think that that counts as entertainment.
