Anyone hear about the city of Atlantis being found. I don'e know anything, I looked, but couldn't find much of anything informative. The only thing that I found, was ACROPOLIS

Yeah, I heard some guy found some ruins underwater and claimed it was Atlantis. Turns out it was already a documented site. I don't understand how people believe in things like Atlantis or the Loch Ness Monster or Bigfoot.....

Mweh, there's been many suspected sites over the years, and obviously, none of them have been correct so far. I think the last one I heard of before this claimed that what remained of the continent of Atlantis was actually Cuba.

In any event, all of them ended up having something wrong or something that wasn't right. For instance, this site is in the Med. Sea. If they are really going by what Plato wrote, then Atlantis would be past the Straits of Gabralter (sp?)

I personally think Atlantis is a twisted flood legend. almost every culture in the world has a flood legend, and most are quite similar. atlantis could be one that got twisted a little bit.

theres a pretty big difference between Atlantis and Bigfoot and the loch ness monster.

the idea of a giant sea monster in a tiny little lake is crap. a hairy man that runns around in the woods? crap. probably just some guy in a Chewie costume.

However, I think it is possible that a coastal/island city can fall into the ocean and drop down with currents to the bottom of the ocean. Its probably so destroyed that no one would know if they were swiming through it or not.

They aren't sure if it's Atlantis, just saying that it could be. Atlantis has been rumored to of been anywhere, from Cuba to around Bermuda to the Dead Sea to the Med. Sea to. There's no way of telling what it really is unless we find some redneck having carved, "Ted wuz here, Atlantis -200" or some shit.
