Anyone know when the new Nvidia G80 graphics line is supposed to be released?

i just read some speculation at HardOCP that its supposed to be a DX10 card, and wont be released until around the time Vista (and DX10) is released, which has been pushed back to beginning of next year. Again, its only people's speculations, but it makes sense. Why release another DX9 card in 6 months, only to have DX10 right around the corner...so in short, G80 is supposed to be DX10, which is part of Vista, not to be released until next year... perhaps a few weeks before Vista to catch the holiday buying season... who knows, its all guessing until we hear something official.

Ok then, I need an opinion. I have had a new rig for about 2 months. Right now I am borrowing an friends GeForce 2 PCI graphics cards while I waited for the G80 line to come out. I was thinking about purchasing a better card for temporary use. Maybe for around 100 bucks too. Anyone have any suggestions for a particular card for temporary use. would be PCIe interface.

RIG:
AMD 64x2 4400
A8N-32 Deluxe
2gb XMS Corsair Ram
400gb SATA Seagates

Also, Newegg has a XFX 6800 Xtreme card for about 99 bucks after rebates that I was interested in. Anyone know anything about if its a decent card.
