Hi,

I am trying to mount the "S drive" on my laptop, but I have not quite figured out how it works.

This is what I have tried

1) Mount as a Samba/CIFS drive. CIFS gives me some weird error message (mount error 13??!). I have searched some forums, and this error seems to appear, and nobody seems to find the solution.... :(

2) I can access via minersftp.umr.edu, but that only gives me a crude ftp mode.

I would definitly prefer to be able to mount the drive (or have ssh/scp access).

Have anybody had a similar problem??

/hygnos

Use gpunix.umr.edu for ssh access.

minersftp.umr.edu via Sftpdrive works fine for me.

What distribution are you using? You might want to investigate sshfs.

hi,

thanks for your replies.

I am using gentoo 2.6.17.

Is the sshfs the same as shfs??! I have used shfs to mount a remote drive over ssh.

Does anybody know if public-key authentication has been turned off? It seems to reject my key...

The ssh access was really all I needed. Now I can use subversion to keep my different drives updated. Nice :D
