So I've got this old laptop, an IBM 365X to be exact. It has 2 pcmcia slots, one above the other and the other below the first. Now I have a wireless card that won't fit into it.

The card in question is a truckstop.net wireless card, 802.11b I believe. The card slides down most of the way, but stops about where it should be making the electrical contact. Any ideas?

Check the card. I had one like that once. The card has been flexed and part of the case wasn't set correctly near the pin connector. A gentle squeeze and everything worked well.

is it possible, that this laptop is 16bit pcmcia and the card 32bit? I don't deal with laptops much
