lately my laptop has encountered a strange problem. it'll randomly start playing audio while there isn't an audio related program open. sounds like television and radio clips. it'll just come on for a few seconds, disappear, and come back on a few minutes later. i've searched the interenet and all they said was run an antivirus program. all i have is the mcafee supplied from the school and spybot s&d. ran both and nothing came up. any suggestions?
thanks.

do you ever hear lightening and thunder? It may be this prank "virus" that your friends installed on your computer. Let's them control certain parts of your computer. I think it's called ghost something.. believe it can open cd drives too.

if youre in a fairly elevated area and are using external speakers or something like that, occasionally you'll pick up radio stations. My roommate had that problem freshman year, his speakers would arbitrarily pick up radio stations. he'd even turn them off and theyd still pick stuff up. It was pretty freaky, had to unplug them for it to stop.

I knew I heard something coming from my speakers a few years ago when I lived up high.
