Hello i was wonder if anyone else besides me and a few people that live close to me are experiencing this. Whenever you put any load greater than loading web pages on the wireless, it disconnects you, usually jumping back on in a bit. But sometimes not at all. Has anyone found a fix for this. Yeah i could use the wired, but the wireless is about 10x faster right now.

I have issues where my mac won't connect to the wireless in certain buildings.. I can see the networks just fine, but I can't actually connect.

I can get on in the Library, Civil, and EE.. but can't in Toomey and CS. Says the "connection failed" when i try.. MST-WPA and MST-PSK won't work in either location.

I have the same issue with both my Mac and iPod. What makes it more annoying is I can't even get on MST_Public in those buildings. I took the iPod by the IT walk-in center and they said it was my device, it is too small to have a full networking stack. So since they will lie to my face, they don't really care.

And i'm a company of tools who do nothing but bitch about another company instead of saying why your product is better, or even that you just released a new product at all. I censor my support forums so it looks like there's nothing wrong with my computers, and sell a computer slower than what you could have gotten 6 months ago for half the cost. I also twist the media's arm so they do nothing but talk about me when my design team decides that black is the new white, and change the color of the keyboard.

Oh wait. I'm a mac too.

Dan, tell me you're better than this.

Why not bash Microsoft? Everyone else does it and even you do it, but when Apple does it on national TV, it is somehow not okay. They've said numerous times as that article points out as to why it's better. Why do they keep having to repeat themselves?

Firstly, that article does not say they are censoring to make it seem as there is nothing wrong with the mac. They are censoring because of being called out on upgrading issues and pricing. Still bad, but don't get it twisted please. Also, I think you're exaggerating a little much (which technically makes you as bad as Apple, right?) when you say "slower" for twice the cost. Everyone knows Apple prices are high, but srsly? Half the cost 6 months ago?

And in thread after thread, posters were repeatedly told by the Apple faithful that you can only install a given copy of Leopard on one Mac. A statement that simply is not true. I don’t condone software piracy, that’s an issue between you and your conscience (and Apple’s legal staff, should you get caught). I also don’t condone the wholesale spread of outright lies. Of course, when anyone set the record straight on this point, again, the threads were censored.

Um, I don't see how this is an outright lie. It is ILLEGAL to install a copy of Leopard on more than one Mac. Now, technically, can you? Yes you can, but in this instance, I'm pretty sure it's perfectly legitimate to say that you can only install a given copy on one Mac seeing how it is the law. Should we also say it is an outright lie to say you cannot shoot an innocent bystander? And if they are referring to if you actually CAN technically install it, why would people being asking on Apple's forums? Hi, I'm an idiot. I agree with most of the rest of the article, but it's a shame when a website such as tomshardware has to go as low as a statement like this. :(

apples arent that cool, plain and simple. It used to be if you were going to college you got a computer, then it became get a laptop, now its get a mac laptop because what else is there? Its sad really that apple used to be for the "cool" and people trying to be different, now every tool in the shed has one.
