I can't wait till that walkway is open... of course, by the time that it does finally open I won't have to go past HSS anymore. Either that or I would have graduated already... Probably the latter.

Also, what happened to those random pillars around campus that had the monitors in them advertising random shit? I still see the pedestals they were on... they won't bring those back will they?

They were demolishing the ME Annex when I came for a visit/tour the fall of my senior year of highschool. I'm about to start my senior year here. That walkway has been closed for 4 years.

Also - It's true that Schrenk and IDE are both due for major updates, but there's a lot of money to be raised before any construction will start. I honestly don't see it happening in the next five years.

Nice try, but no cigar. Guessing you graduated in 2006 from HS.

06-07: 1 year
07-08: 1 year
08-09: 1 year
total: 3 years

Just cause you're starting your 4th year, doesn't mean 4 years have passed.

That would be during the 05-06 school year if he graduated in 06

But regardless of how long it's actually been, it's been too damn long. I just want to walk directly to havener from the library. I'm tired of going through/around HSS.

I started here in fall '05 and I can remember the old ME Annex was condemned but they hadn't started tearing it down yet at the beginning of the school year. --We could still walk between ME and HSS. It has been so long I don't really remember what it was like to do that (and that path wasn't really typical for my schedule back then). But I certainly remember when they first put the fence up b/c everyone was like WTF!? It was a big pain in the ass, even more so than it is now when everyone is already used to it.

The walkway that was there before they tore down the building was narrow to begin with so there was always congestion there. While there was less congestion than there is now at the door of HSS near the library, it's not like it was significantly better.

We do have really really slow progress on buildings here. RC2 went up fairly quickly, but at Mizzou they started a dorm like the rescollege in the middle of campus. It was started (iirc) around September. It was open for residents this January.

As far as I'm concerned, Toomey isn't done till the walkway is open. And that's been closed... for what, 3 years?

Contractors here don't care for whatever reason. They don't have other jobs to go do. So they're just milking the ones they already have for forever. Grr.

We need to hire Ahrens or another company out of St. Louis instead of just whatever POS general contractor lives around here (Don Maggi).
