I'm trying to revamp a site for a campus organization. I'm attempting to install Joomla as a backend but it needs mySQL databasing for data storage. The installation says that the mysql support is there, but I don't know how to access it or configure it. I sent an email to IT help, but has anyone had any experience? I think SUB's website is run on the same Joomla backend.
The web hosting that campus provides is very basic and does not include PHP or MySQL. Student Council provides hosting for RSOs which includes PHP, MySQL and a better url (orgname.mst.edu instead of web.mst.edu/~orgname). Just contact stuco and they'll get the process started.
