Yes, this is very simple to most of you...but not to me. I majorly need a new keyboard. The problem is, I suck at picking them out...yet, I'm picky.
I don't know what all I want and I really don't know where to get it.
Soooo....any advice?

Or if you want to be true to your Unix roots, a Happy Hacking Keyboard?

Perhaps you might consider a Dvorak layout?

My current keyboard is some sorta Systemax one. It was wonderful until my ex got a hold of it...now, we won't discuss all the problems it has.
It has way more buttons than I could ever tell you are used...I still don't know what most of them do. And, I like that. I like the fact it looks so...advanced.

Does that help? LOL

If you are on campus now, I would pick up one of the new extra dell keyboards. They are not the most awsome, but they are most like what you will use most places, so you would do to get used to it.
My prefered key board is acer 6511-hm vintage 1996. back when they still made computer stuff to last forever.
basicly any keyboard you get now expect it to die in a year or two. I have killed several MS naturals, I have huge hands and I end up killing the shift keys.
If you play alot of keyboard games, I would recomend that you find the same keyboard you have now, unless you hate it.
and for fuck sake get a 103 or 104 keys. dont get the 105+ keys unless you really like it. and with 102 keys one day you will be thinging what, fuck I dont have that key?

By far the best keyboard I've ever owned.

I've gotten used to it. Feels weird when I have to use an ergonomic keyboard with the 6 on the right. Plus the arrow keys are the right shape and the backslash key is in it's rightful place beneath the full-length Backspace. Gotta love the USB hub in the back too.

my old computer had an 'ergonomic' keyboard, funny thing is it was so hard to use because it didn't feel natural. i had 100 times more typos when using that damn thing, and ours had a stuipd 'tab' and 'number lock' in between the two halves of the home row, so i would accidentally insert tabs and hit caps lock and shit while typing. worst keyboard layout ever in my opinion.

my keyboard is the "dell quitkey keyboard". it's got all the letters, numbers, useful symbols, F1-F12, AND numberkeys. everything that i need. plus handy LED indicators letting me know wether num/caps/scroll lock is active! hooray!

my roommate got some ultra-hightech $70 keyboard when his old one broke. damn thing you have to HOLD down a modifyer key in order to use the function keys! if you hit F2 it would open like "my music" or some bullshit talk about ghey

OH and i refuse to buy a keyboard that has a fucking WARNING LABEL on it. jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus christ

i just remembered these pics i took...............

so what happened to your keyboard? did you lose your temper and smash your keyboard to bits because it wasn't working (even though the problem was not the keyboard, but a faulty PS/2 connection).... like BRETT....?

Perhaps someday someone will create a l33t key. It would be like the Windows key, except l33t. Maybe it would type a quadruple-bucky.
