If anyone on here has attempted freevo before, can you give me a good idea of what linux distro i should use and a good tv capture card for a 700 mhz celeron? I'm looking at the ati all in wonder, but it seems to have probs with linux. Thanks!

The only advice I can give you about Freevo is: Use MythTV, it has more features, supports more cards, and a whole lot more stable.

a lot of mythtv people use hauppauge wintv pvr cards, they have hardware encoders so it wont strain the cpu at all to cap even high bitrate stuff
