I'm looking to get a lcd monitor for my setup. Probably 17". I've been looking at the kds lcd's at walmart. They also have some envision 17" at staples at the same price. Maybe someone has some experience with these monitors or could give me some advice? thanks in advance.

Don't get anyting that Wal-Mart sells. Just buy online, and do some research elsewhere to see what's actually good.

I have a 15" Samsung LCD and it's great, I would suggest ordering a Samsung one off NewEgg. Probably cheaper than getting it at a store

I'm using a 17" Samsung LCD I bought off Newegg. It gave me no problems until last month when I suddenly have an entire vertical line of dead pixels. It's not extremely noticable, but it is definitely pretty annoying at times.

yashi, if you have an entire line of dead pixels i think samsung's warranty will pay to replace that monitor for you..

as well, i recommend either samsung or nec, both make excellent models, but, as i own a NEC 17 right now, id have to recommend NEC :D

Similar to Samsung and NEC, I would recommend ViewSonic. I've had my VA520 15" LCD for almost three years, and it's been nothing short of fantastic.

go to the hot deals forums at Fatwallet.com or scan Bensbargains.net. They both have deals on anything you could ever want.

.over and out.

Good choice. I use a Samsung SyncMaster 172N.
