But they've got to be long. At least 24", 40pin/80wire ATA133.

Here is a place stating that you should not have cables over 18":

The last post here states test results of 18+" cables...

I would not use one over 18" just to be on the safe side.

Fark--thanks for the advice, I appreciate the digging.

Does anyone have some that are over 18" so I could do some testing of my own? Round is alright, but I'd bet data integrity is better protected in the flat 80-conductor cables.
