I'd advise getting one at a place that allows you to buy a replacement warranty. Those things break all the time (usually for no apparent reason), especially the cheap shitty ones, so the replacement is definitely worth it.

what kind of fucking retard buys an extended warranty/protection plan on a 6 dollar phone from walmart?
The same fucking retard who buys a $15 extended warranty on an $11 tube of Arctic Silver at CompUSA...and yes, I swear to god, they once offered this on their website when I checked to see if the store by me had some in stock. They don't have the warranty anymore, I guess they got smart.

Well where I worked the warranty was always 15% of the purchase price for two years. I'd say a good third of the phones broke before warranty was up (seriously, tons of these effers came back), and they'd get new ones off the shelf.
Sounds like a deal to me.
