I think it shows great compashion for your fellow students and en·tre·pre·neur·ship to be willing to sacrifice these Mighty Fine Calculators for such a price. If I needed a calculator for the FE exam I would pay anything it took to ensure I had the best advantage possible.
Also if I was they guy selling the calculators I would give a 90% cut to the guy who came up with the idea if posting on seek. I don't know it just seems like the cool thing to do.
West Plains, not West Planes. I hope you didn't drive that far to buy them, or if you are from there you would at least know how to spell it right.
FYI, Rolla was sold out so I bought a Casio for $15 at the Wal Mart in Salem. It is 30 minutes away. They had at least 10 when I was there, and plenty of the TI's.

Instead of a 90% cut for the idea; I would give the guy who came up with the Idea 0% and keep the all of the profit for my self. Let's face it - UMR tries to teach us about how to survive in industry and this is how industry would treat you so 100% for the guy selling and absolutely nothing for the people that did the work to actually get the product sold
What parts of the project have you got going by your self? The temperature sensor? The current sensor? The analog inputs? The micro-controller interfacing to the GSM?
A remote household monitoring system. It uses an enhanced simon board with analog inputs to monitor two temperature sensors and the current through a heater and if the system falls outside of the constraints set then it sends out a communication string over RS232 to a GSM cell phone module to have a text message sent to a phone number that is stored on the SIM card inserted into the GSM module
