I've got 4GB of that exact G.Skill PC2 8000 dual channel kit in my system and haven't had a problem in the 1.5 years they've been in use.

I originally bought that set (both actually) used. They crapped out on me (probably from previous owners abuse). I bought the blacks to replace them so I could RMA them. I couldn't get the black to run at rated speed let alone any higher. I said screw used memory and just happened to score a good deal on some OCZ Blade on amazon and sent both the G.Skill in for RMA. They sent me these back brand new.

I'm pretty sure the failures were due to neglect. I bought them off of overclocking forums so that kinda tells you the life they probably led lol. I prefer the black PCB and heat spreader on my Blades, which is why I decided to biff these sets.
