Is there anyone going to UMR this upcoming school year that is into smash? Reason being i'm looking to play more people than the close nit group I currently play with. Any skill level i'm willing to play aganist and willing to help teach those who want to learn advanced tech.

I decided in an effort to draw more people form outside of Rolla i'm gonna also host a little tourney this day...here's the info.

Address: 1703 North Elm St. Apt. A, Rolla MO(my house)
Date: August 19th
Starting time: 5pm for the tourney start, you can come by anytime b4 that for warmups and general smashing
Entry fee: $5 singles only
Pot split: 60/30/10/entry fee

Unless alot of people are against it i'm gonna stick to basically the mlg ruleset.

Advanced slob picks
Can knock out one level for the set.
Daves stupid rule (can't choose a level that you've already won on in that set)
No Stalling for excessive periods of time.

If anyone needs housing we can prolly have ya at the tourney location the night b4 or the night after or both if you are so willing. Send me an email or call me if you do.

Bring any cubes, tv's, and power strips that you can.

No smoking in the house and no drinking also...you can do that on your own time I reserve the right to kick out anyone for any reason especially if I find they are intoxicated.

Well right now I'm living in st. louis but i'm coming back down on the 17th of August, we can always have the smashfests at my place which is off of elm really close to tj and campus.

i dont know what kind of party you plan on hosting, but i know that i don't want to get an STD.

my new roommate is addicted to the game, so I imagine I'll begin to play, but I know I won't be very good. We'll be playing a lot in TJ i imagine.

STD stands for SmashTillDawn but I can understand how that can be confusing, I didnt even normally call them by that untill KillaOR used the term on MTV's Real Life i'm a gamer...it was just funny the way he used it.

Personally I suck. Most of the really good people who played are now living off campus. So I don't know how much skill we have right now.

the 19th is the weekend before school starts, so I don't think there will be too many people that will have housing issues.
