Is this really some bombshell though? Who do you think makes up the majority of Stewart's Audience? College kids perhaps? I think this is really a non-story. While I do enjoy Mr. Stewart, its hard to say that he appeals to as broad of an audience as the other shows mentioned.

How is it vs O'Reilly. I read it being vs Leno and Letterman, and then them throwing a little blerb in at the end how the people surveyed average schooling/income was higher that watched Stewart. So it tells what everybody said earlier, Dems had the college/high wage crowd, Rep had the non schooled/low income crowd.

yeah, O'Reilly is pretty good. I watch him every blue moon or so and I've read a couple of his books.

O'Rielly is like the rest of Fox News. You should watch them if you want to either yell at the TV in anger (Democrat) or totally agree with what they are saying (Republican). Either way, you won't have a clue about what's actually going on. If you want to actually be informed, the Daily Show is pretty good. Its got a liberal bias, but still presents the information. The only reason it has a liberal bias is because they enjoy making fun of Republicans and make fun of Democrats even though they wish they didn't have anything to make fun of them about.

You could also relplace the words "Fox News" with any other 24 hour new network. They all suck.

Lopez is right. O'Reilly is horrible. If you don't agree with him, he'll either make you look like an idiot if you don't have facts ready, or if you do have facts ready, he'll insult you or kick you off his show.

Yeah, I like the guy who was a relative of a victim of 9/11 who was on his show and was just completely shooting down everything he had to say. He ended up cutting his mike and telling him to get off his show and never come back or he'd bite his fucking head off. Something to that effect. Wikipedia "Bill O'Reilly" if you're really that interested. I'm not, because he's a fucking douche.

Oh yeah, the 24 hour news stations are way more biased than Stewart. (said with uber sarcasm). If anything they are 90% the same. Stewart has his token republicans on and others do the same thing. Whether you like O'reilly and his interviewing style or not has nothing to do with whether or not he puts worthwhile information out there. He may be a bastard, but at least that bastard gets shit done. Name one other 24/7 newscast personality who broke the 9/11 charities story. All of the stations have their shows with a bias view, if you don't want to hear it, then don't watch them. I cannot stand sean hannity, I think he's a total jackass, therefore I don't watch him. O'reilly may be conservative, but he's not out there toting the republican line, and if you say he does, you don't watch his show. I don't necessarily know that stewart is a democrat, I suspect he's very liberal, and while he may pull a few punches when dealing with the dems, he's dealt with some republicans with kid gloves too. Striking differences? More like striking similarities only on the flipside of the political aisle.

The difference between O'Rielly and Stewart is that Stewart has credibility because he doesn't verbally assault his guests, he doesn't cut off his interviewee when he doesn't like what they have to say, and he has never been in trouble for just making numbers up and calling it facts or harassing his female staff members. I'm not saying the Daily Show is a totally unbiased source of news, but it is definately better than anything O'Rielly puts out.

And FBI, you're right, O'Reilly may have his worthwhile moments, but he has made up shit so often that it baffles me how he still has any credibility at all. The guy is one of the biggest asshole shit-stains on the planet, and that's coming from someone who admires how he can completely destroy someone on his show if they don't come prepared.

And I like everything Lopez said in his second to last post, because it's all true, and all evidence of why O'Reilly is a huge walking douche bag.

Maybe he was trying to lighten the conversation up a bit? And maddox is funny. Of course, I laugh at death, so nearly everything has humor potential in it, my job is to find that humor and laugh at it. I like the daily show, its hilarious, there is ALWAYS going to be bias, unless you deliver just the news. I.E. "Today a plane crashed in texas, 5 people are dead, the FAA is investigating the cause. In other news. . . . " And so and and so forth. When they bring in experts to try and guess the cause of the crash, it ceases to be news. Thus I can't ever really find the NEWS. I always find COMMENTARY, which drives me crazy, I just want to know what happened, then move on. Also, repeating 2 facts over and over, is not news, its repetitive, and highly annoying.

Bill O'Reillly, sometimes annoying, sometimes he does good stuff, like the 911 charities thing.
