Sometimes society just really, really makes my head hurt......

1st story : ...So somebody is suing a garage because people jump off their roof without their consent. Makes a whole lot of sense.

2nd story: Wow, the grandparents turned the kid into police for a fiction story he wrote for class. And he's actually being prosecuted. Guess he stopped getting birthday check from grandma a long time ago.

Isn't that 2nd story a bit unconstitutional?

1st story: It's the same theory behind trying to jump onto a train as it goes past. Just the thrill of doing it where you could get injured. Some reason people skydive and bungee jump. Only, most the time, people aren't stupid enough to do something dangerous WITHOUT some kind of protection.

2nd story: So, writing a story about a high school getting overrun with ZOMBIES is an act of terrorism. Riiiight. This is somewhat scary considering some of the stories I wrote for my Creative Writing and other English classes in high school. Stuff like that makes you feel as if this country is just going mental and are afraid of everything.

I never read the story, so for all I know the guy could be full of shit abot the zombie thing........

Yeah, you guys are just taking this kid's word for it, but have no idea about it.

No, we have never read the story and can not tell if it zombies or not. However, he does say that there were no real names or places portrayed. If he is using imaginary people and places, doesn't that classify it as a story whether there are zombies or not?

The guy isn't a politican, so more than likely he isn't going to lie in an interview like that.

for the garage jumping:
this is prob the libertarian in me speaking, but imo, if you hant to be a dipshit and try to jump between garages, well, go for it! hell, i may go try it..... but id make sure i could do it first (ummm, ya know, TRAINING).

don't you remember that you have no rights as a student. they can say he was chewing gum in a threatening way, and throw him into detention. oh and jail is the new detention room. thanks to crazy parents, crazy kids, and crazy administrators schools are now minimum to medium security prisons.

I can't get to it, so unless others are having similar trouble, I must be a moron!
