The UN became worthless when they started letting any country in. Now countries that are listed as terrorist states by America and European nations are on the Security Council. Because of this reason (and many, many more), the US really doesn't give a rat's ass about the UN.

you can't tell an organization they cannot exist. That is part of our constitution, and if we are fighting to make peace throughout the world, and bring democracy everywhere, etc. You have to allow the IRA and PLA to exist. That is part of it. The other option is to get rid of america's terrorist organizations.

You're an idiot. The government has been telling bad organizations that they cannot exist for years if they partake in illegal activities. Think mafia, pro-life groups that bomb clinics, the branch davidians, etc. They are not protesting the whole IRA, just the ones that blow shit up and shoot people. Although the point has been made rather effectively that there is no longer a fight for them to wage since both sides agreed to the cease fire terms years ago.

While I agree that the US needs to stop babysitting the rest of the world, you're an idiot. First of all, neither of the 2 organizations you listed exist in the US. Therefore, any rights that would be protected by the constitution for US organizations are non existant. Second, while you can't neccesarily tell an organization they can't exist, you sure as hell can lock up the members in seperate prisons across the country to break up the organization if they're doing illegal activities

i didnt say you couldnt arrest everybody, but look at the kkk, they were a terrorist organizaion. The government locked them up, but they can still exist and hold rallies. America can't tell foreign organizations that they can't exist. We can kill/capture the leaders, but the organization is protected under a few laws. Also, America's policy towards outside culture should be similar to its own. We cannot preach democracy while at the same time wiping out all forms of democracy in a region.
