It was tedious, but I wasn't completely sober when I went to see it, so it made it that much more enjoyable.
Problem is that it's a thriller or horror movie, and there's really not thrills or horror in them...... It seems like they relied on the "scary stretchy face" effect way too much in part duex.
An interesting touch I noticed was that they seemed to have TV's everywhere. Basically, since you already KNOW the girl typically comes out through the TV, it'd be too much of a giveaway if the TV's only showed up when she was going to appear. By having them all over, it takes it back to a situation where you never KNOW if she's going to be showing up in a scene....plus, in this movie, she seems to appear more randomly.
Though I really felt like people in it were acting like idiots a lot of the time. WHY THE HELL DOES THIS FAMILY EVEN OWN A TELEVISION ANY MORE?? I would have smashed the thing after I thought the girl was back in town! And why do they waste time walking around slowly? It's not like you're going to be able to creep up on a ghost. Best thing to do in that situation is walk around quickly to assess things faster, so you can hopefully think of a solution. Creeping up slowly on where you think there's a dead body doesn't accomplish a lot, better to just figure out if someone was killed or not.
On a random note that only a few folks may get, didnt' the well in the first movie have a wooden lid?
Yeah, I did notice the TVs everywhere. In fact, they were everywhere in the first one, as well, if you go back and watch it. It's just an interesting choice of the director, I suppose.
It was funny, when I went to see it, at the end just before she jumps, when she's surrounded by those trees, someone in the front of the theater yelled "WATCH OUT FOR THE DEER!"
I guess it seems stupid now, but it was hilarious then.
