I think that with careful analysis, we cna form tambora's bottom 10 list with the combination of other people's top 10 list. Just in case we're wrong, lets discuss the bottom 10 foavorite movies...

2. Lump in all other Troma films here ___
3. Alexander
4. The Island
5. Donnie Darko
6. Getysburg
7. Gangs of New York
8. The Jungle Book
9. Space Jam
10. --reserved for when i think of a terrible one that i forgot for the time being---

Hmm... this'll be fun. I may have to think pretty hard about 3-10, because I generally avoid movies that I know are going to suck. That said, here are my bottom 2:

1. From Dusk Till Dawn
2. The New Guy

When I can think of the other 8, I'll post.

freakin awesome

Donnie Darko, watch the Director's cut and see when they added all the deleted scenes that actually have the movie make sense, then its not so bad. otherwise, i didnt enjoy it. it made my head hurt.
Gangs of New York was long and crappy, I hated it.
Mario Brothers was pretty good, not a top ten, but definately not a bottom ten.

maybe got my number 10: The Real Cancun, a reality movie to go along with crappy reality TV.

1. Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
2. Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls
3. Bio Dome
4. Judge Dredd
5. Gigli (it's rigli, rigli bad)
6. Aladdin 2
7. Aladdin 3
8. Starship Troopers
9. Land Before Time Series
10. (reserved for the live-action Akira which is being made)

I can't stand Jim Carrey when he's just being stupid, Aladdin was good, but the sequels all sucked, the creator of The Land Before Time should be shot, and the live-action Akira will in no way be as good as the original.

You cant put Starship Troopers on the list and leave off the sequel, which far supassed the original in suckiness.

The first one had some good parts to it, and, on a whole, I enjoyed it.
"Put you hand on that wall Private"
"Welcome to the Roughnecks." "Rico's Roughnecks!!"
Plus it had Neil Patrick Harris and Denise Richards. NPH makes any movie a good movie.

Go watch the sequel, then decide which is on the list

Can only think of 3 for now, but I know they're definitely the worst I've viewed.

3 - Million Dollar Baby
2 - The Horse Whisperer
1 - Cookie's Fortune (I know it's an obscure movie, but I guarantee it will top ANYTHING else listed in this topic.)

@phil
I think the beauty of donnie darko (not directors cut) was that it had so many possibilities and it made you think, very few movies can do that today.

to add to my list mortal kombat II, and pretty much every adam sandler movie.

"Donnie Darko" wasn't that confusing. Just watch it for the sake of a movie and turn your brain off.

"Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter" was one of the worse films ever, true, but it's still funny in that classic sense of a parody. Something to subject others to, knowing how horrid it is.

"Starship Troopers" is a good movie in small doses. Good action movie if you stop trying to think while watching it. Phil's right that it does have some really good parts, like where the drill sargent throws the knife into recruits hand.

"Mortal Kombat II" was a hell of a lot worse than the first one. Lucky for me, I can turn my brain off and enjoy a movie for it's simple ass-kicking.

"From Dusk 'Till Dawn" (at least the first one) is another example of a good action movie to watch with your brain turned off.

I'm noting a theme here. Seems that most of the movies Hollyweird cranks out are only good with your brain turned off.

For me, the only movie I saw and wanted to shoot myself in the foot (just for an excuse to get away) was Titanic. 4 hours long, and you know the fucking ending. How that movie ever made money is beyond me.

I dont really consider movies that are obviously bad to be bad because hilariously bad can actually be a good watch (Club Dread comes to mind), just the ones that seem like they were written to win an Oscar but failed miserably, comedies that aren't funny, action movies with shitty action scenes, etc.

I like Newman's list, with extra emphasis on Pearl Harbor. I'm not sure why any of you watched Gigli in the first place, personally I only watch movies that seem like they have potential.

How you guys gonna rag on Space Jam? It was exactly what you would expect from it, Michael Jordan and Looney Tunes characters.
