I'm thinking of getting an electric drum set. What are the pros and cons of getting one? I just would like to know what the rest of the world thinks?

Pro: It wont disturb your roomates or anyone else at the house.
Con: It wont disturb drunk people or hangover victims and therefor not as fun unless you buy a big ass amp.

Electric Drums feel differently. If you want to get close to a real drum feel you will be paying a lot of money. Cost seems to be the main issue. If you buy a medium or low range electric drum set you are not going to get a proper bounce of the drums or cymbols, and that actually gets really painful on the hands. I guess you could get used to it.
