Trying to find some new music, so I went ahead and downloaded iTunes. I almost didn't install it after i saw i had to install quicktime as well....but i did.
I love how you can preview all you want for free, which is perfect for listening then finding 'elsewhere'. Also helps for finding newly released albums of favorite bands, like I didn't even know there was new 311. The radio charts are cool too. I have yet to try out their 'recommendations' thing to see if its a hit or miss though, i'm assuming its based on customer orders.
I just picked up the new Ill Nino, Static-X, Dredg.....Anyone got some suggestions ? Alternative/Rock/Metal
avoid podcasts with all your might, they suck all out.

Get some Fear Factory. I highly recommend the album Digimortal. A bit more on the metal side on most of their other albums, but Digimortal is more melodic. Also some of the fastest kick drum I have heard in a long time. I have a good quality video of Linchpin [very hard to find] if anybody wants it.

Underoath (their latest CD, They're Only Chasing Safety. kinda emo-ish, but metal and good)
Institute, as mentioned above is also good
Sloth, slightly generic but a good alternative band
Atreyu is a good metal band, but not still rythmic and easy to sing alont go
Noise Therapy is an older but good alternative band.
Primer 55 is some excellent real rap-metal
Pitchshifter is also a good heavier Crystal Method like band as mentioned above. Also check out KMFDM if you like them.
40 Below Summer is a kick ass band, kinda nu-metal but better IMO. Not really another band like them.
36 Crazyfists is also good for heavier, but not true metal, music.
