Does anyone else wonder how these people who protest for months at a time live? I mean am I the only person who has to work regularly to support themself?

She's from California, what do you expect? Even though I find it funny that she was the "first" arrested, she was still breaking the law.

That's why they're all for welfare. They gotta support their lazy, contributing-nothing, asses.

Maybe she's happy because of where the cop's hand is.

Besides, they wouldn't be able to afford or use drugs if they actually had to WORK at a JOB. They also wouldn't be able to watch satellite TV all day either.

She acts as though death isn't a real possibility of being enlisted in the army and being stationed in a war zone. I understand that the loss is terrible but it's not like a car wreck where you aren't prepared at all for it...

I think the question I want answered was was her son signed up in the army, or was there a draft I was unaware of. I mean I do not think he would have joined the army unless he wanted to fight for the country. In my opinion she is putting words in her dead sons mouth by protesting.

In my opinion, it is disrespectful towards her son.

She is doing her son a dishonor by protesting so much, it is to say that his life was given completely in vain, whether or not we agree with the war is null to the point, that her son died, why dishonor that? He elected to service the greater good of the nation and recieve a certain set of wages as a result, he could have elected to take a regular job, its the path he choose. I do feel sorry for his mother and the position its put her in, but there's only a certain extent you can take that before you lose credibility and she has really crossed that line with a few of her previous actions.

That IS why she is protesting. Because she feels his life was given in vain.

Instead of basing your arguement on dogmatic pricipals, can you explain and prove how exactually the war was for the greater good of the country?

When we were originally told about what was going on in Iraq, i was all for the war... i very well could have joined the cause myself. As more and more facts come to light and true agendas for the war come out, i have changed my stance. How the hell do you know he didnt feel the same way? Its possible, but once you are locked in that contract, they got you. I support the troops 100%. They are following orders. I just dont support using troops as a tool for political gain. 2,000 US soldiers dead and a large portion of Iraqis are still without electricity, basic emergency services and running water (that was working fine before the war). And before you try to justify the cause, dont forget to justify the 300 Billion + we have sunk into it as our deficit spirals further out of control that it has never reached before.

No, but I can assume (not proof I know) that he felt it was justified by joining the military, and can assume that she has cracked, being as the rest of her family(as far as I have heard atleast) disagrees with her, and feel the same way I do.
