I'm not saying we need to release them, but they definitely need to be at least given access to lawyers.

The word "bi-partisan" usually means some larger-than-usual deception is being carried out.
Even when those prisoner's didn't necessarily have to be POW to be brought there? Some of them are there simply because they were SUSPECTED of various things. And they've been there for years simply because of this suspicion with no access to a lawyer. With that in mind, I'm pretty sure some of them ARE U.S. citizens.
Yay Big Brother.

I saw "Abu Ghraib" and thought "Guantanamo Bay" for whatever reason.
So yes, I agree with you, they went insane.

I don't get what you mean "went insane" some of them are probably POWs and probably just fought because Saddam drafted them. Others are probably the ones that loved to torture and rape their fellow citizens.
One other thing, I GARENTEE (sry can't spell) that the press definition of US TORTURE is far less then what probably any other country (outside of modern Monaco maybe - or wait, is that a prinicpality? sry too much Family Guy) has done and probably still does. I can't see any people associated with the US really doing what Saddam and alot of other people have done throughout their reins (though maybe there is more then we'd normally believe).

right, cuse just a little tortue is okay. thats like saying. hey, i raped her, but i used a condom, so it wasnt bad. and i think a bunch of these will be people that will cause trouble, but it is something we really needed to do. Im sure they arent letting the really bad ones go. The ones that have behaved well, were caught stealing, or some shit like that.

No, no its not. It is like saying that I beat them up, but I didn't kill them. I don't even consider most of what they did torture. Oh no, they forced them to watch porn, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Some of what they did was wrong, but if I was to think that I could save innocent American lives by inflicting some pain of an enemy, I would in a heartbeat. See, you happen to think that if everyone is kind and gentle then terrorists will say, "hey, these guys aren't too bad," and leave us alone. Unfortunately, we do wrong by existing, atleast according to these terrorists, and I see no moral problem coercing to give up what they know, to save American lives.
