I have to take the calc 1 final on wednesday and i was wondering how difficult it is and if there is something specific that would help studying? Is it really hard to pass or not?

Yes, thanks to the mighty TI-89, I've not had to memorize anything for any math test I've ever taken at UMR.

Texas Insturments is a wonderful, wonderful company.

If you could do all of your previous tests it should be cake. Otherwise, it'd be good to look over the stuff you already messed up because that stuff probably WILL be on there.

I second that. I suck at math, so the TI-89 came in very handy for me in every math class. On the other hand, the HP I bought as a freshman came in handy to - it held my door open very well.

Honestly, I am not trying to start an argument here, but did the HP offer even one advantage over an 89??

In my Linear Algebra class, we don't get to use a calculator on the test. She's a good teacher though, so it's not really that necessary.

If I remember right, you're in my class. I hope that final isn't too tough. I have an A- right now aka the worst situation ever when the final is mandatory.

I seem to remember something about the HP having a speaker and some kids finding a way to make it play midi's.

Are you really? Who are you?
And yes, I agree. I have a low A in the class and need an 86 on the final to keep it. Talk about pressure. Hope I did good, since I just got back!

I think I did pretty well. I was sitting in the back row. I just remembered earlier in the semester you asking about her homework on here.

Hmm, I was probably sitting a seat or two away from you. Did you get there slightly late? Like a minute or so?

No I got there like 15 minutes early. I think there was only 1 other person in our class to my left.

Yeah might be me (though I think pretty much everyone in the back row had dark hair), where were you?
