So I get back today and my mouse and keyboard are doing some crazy things intermittently. My mouse icon will just stop on the screen, but I am still able to click on things, as long as i go slow and can feel what Im doing. Then my keyboard will randomly press left so my typing gets all messed up. I just realized after putting windows MCE 2005 that I forgot to put on anti-virus. So I went to get the free McAfee and I cant install it, I get a wierd error. So I got stinger and it isnt finding anything.

Any help would be awesome so I dont have to take this into IT

do you have a wireless desktop? could be some sort of interference *shrug*

well at first i thought my mouse died, being pretty old and used i figured it likely, but then i kept moving it around saw the status bar at the bottom of firefox change, then saw I could bring up the start menu so I found it wierd, I have since restarted and its back to normal, for now

Try and see if you can install AVG Free.

yea i got that installed, and its scanning with nothing found so far

EDIT:updated AVG and scanned and found nothing, might try to re-install keyboard and mouse drivers if it continues

Sounds like you have a broken keyboard to me.

well i guess both my keyboard and mouse being bad is a possibility, could be someone fucking with my computer noticing that im probably the most wide-open.

you might need to clean your mouseball (remember those days?), no ideas on the keyboard
