Hi
The UMR wireless network seems to be down near the Havener Center, and I couldn't connect to the wireless network for days(mainly aug 11-15, the umr connection just would not show up on the list). But the news on IT said that they do the security update on 16-17 or something and that is not listed during aug 11-15. Something is wrong here.

Any news?

Have you registered your wireless card with IT?

Have you configured your wireless adapter to connect to UMR's wireless?

certainly. I have been using wireless since june(great signal), and on august 11 till now I havent been picking up the UMR(not public) on the list of wireless networks. Help would be appreciated. Maybe the wireless signal sender is not getting enough juice?
oh and here is where I kinda live, Nagogami Terrace.

Depending on the room, the signal quality can be pretty sketchy.

Nagogami doesn't have official wirless support to my knowledge. The official campus wirless coverage map is here:

Your red circle seems to be well outside their blue circle. I'd buy an access point or use a wire.

So why don't you take your computer on campus and see if you can connect there?
