The x1950 is nice (really nice), but if you're going to spend that kind of money, wouldn't you want to wait for DX10 cards, first? Just get a cheap card for now.

good point, do you know the eta on dx10 ati cards?
I heard the DX10 cards will be released simultaneously with Vista (but, then again, Vista was supposed to be released this holiday season, so DX10 cards could very well still be coming out then).
Depends on what looks like a better deal. The e6600 is about $130 more than the e6400. Both overclock nicely, but the e6600 has 4 megs of cache, is faster, and uses the conroe core. The e6400 has 2 megs cache, is slower, and i think uses a different core. Check out Tom's interactive cpu chart and that might help you make your decision.
