I dont know about you guys but I have always been in love with speed runs. I was thinking of having a turnament (just like the end of "The Wizard")
I would provide nominal prizes (flash drives, software, etc).

more then likley ill get three of these for prizes, 1 for first place in turney, 1 for second place, and 1 for something else
Every game would be played on a console (NO EMULATORS) at the same time'ish depending on how many people would want to do this. The only thing i would need from other people is EXTRA Televisions and consoles/games so that we can get some people racing agaisnt each other rather then just compairing times in the end.
everything is up in the air right now, i can change any rule (except the emulator one)
'RULES'
-All games will be played for 20min, last round is for half an hour
-Winner will be decided on who finishes first, or who gets the farthest (progress not score) in the time allotted
-All games will be SNES or prior
-Best half from any round of the turney move on to the next round.
'GAMES'
-Super mario brothers 3 (NES)
-Super mario wrold (SNES)
-Ninja Gaiden (NES)
-Adventures of LoLo (NES)
-help me think of others that would be good and easy to score
I NEED PEOPLE TO HELP ME SUPPLY NES/SNESs and legit GAMES i want head to head matches!

Pong - no progress in the game because its score based
Tetris - maybe, would have to do the main game part
Breakout - no, the one for nes/snes have random drops making it unfair to compitition

Speed runs...not point totals, i was looking up differnt tetris turney's and its all high score or highest level, thats not speed, im looking for how quickly you can complete a game, or how far you can get in 20 minutes

i've made it trough mario 3 in about 20 minutes the first time through, and at 13 continuing for a second time.
make sure it is reste after each round, since you get full p-wings when you beat it, makes it a lot easier the second time through
