As title says want to buy AV cables for a PS2... also does anyone know if the AV cables from a PS1 will work with a PS2?

The multi-out port on the PS1 and PS2 are both compatible with RF (coax), Composite, and S-Video outputs.

All others are compabitle only with the PS2.

Yes, Sony distrubuted one in it's Lunix kit. While you can't get one from Sony anymore, they can still be had from 3rd parties (for example). One thing to note, you PS2 must be configured to use RGB instead of Y/Pr/Cr (component video) before using the adapter. Boot without a disk, and go to your system configuration screen and scroll through until you see the out-put option.

Also note you may be disappointed with the maximum resolution.

Awesome. I think I'll be getting one of those. (VGA adapter)
