Could someone explain (right now I am just curios, not bitching and moaning) why there is a Havener charge under organization, and then another more robust Havener charge toward the bottom?
EDIT:: And that is every semester, right?

The one that is ~$25 is to offset the operating costs of Havener, the other one is to pay off what we owe from building the facility.
And it is every semester.

I'm sure it easily costs that much. The utilities alone for the building, which I'm guessing is around 70-100 thousand square feet, could easily run $100k plus a year.

Multipurpose only gets $10 per student per semester and while it is supposed to be a little smaller (only 94,976 vs 105,00). It also happens to be 40-45 years older, which I would think would decrease efficiency. And while I have my mouth/fingers running, who pays for the maintenence of the other buildings?

Hey, I didn't deck the stupid douchebag that I saw wearing a shirt that said "FUCK America" and had the American flag circled with a line through it, so you can surely tolerate the Jesus freaks...

I liked watching the scooter kid that passes out wipe out in front of havener today. he got up and started yelling "it's fucking slippery out here!" Pretty nice.

Is he somewhat... ahh... unskinny? I saw a dude riding a scooter down the middle of the street, and the people in the cars behind him didn't look any too pleased.

I thought it was built from a donation.
A donation that didn't cover the entire building. It was mainly just a huge chunk of what it was supposed to cost. That's my understanding anyways.

The word "bi-partisan" usually means some larger-than-usual deception is being carried out.
A native of Mexico, Mo., Havener resides in Fort Worth, Texas, and is the founder of several successful businesses, including Phazar Corp. and Antenna Products Corp. His gift, the largest for a non-academic program in UMR's history, constituted the largest portion of $9 million in private gifts for the center.
"Gary Havener's gift provided a tremendous boost for this project," Thomas says. "The Havener Center complements our efforts to recruit and retain students, by providing a pleasant gathering place for our student body."
No state funds were used for the project. Instead, UMR students approved a special student fee in 1997 to help fund the facility, resulting in $12.5 million in funding. Students pushed for the student fee increase a "tax" on themselves because they saw the need for a new student center.
Quote:
Features like a portable stage and dance floor, wireless Internet access and contemporary decor will make the Havener Center the preferred destination for meetings, conferences, banquets and wedding receptions,"
I about crapped when I read the second part...
