What does this mean and what should i do about it? whenever i try to open up a movie file it shows me this message. it won't show the video, but it'll play the sound like an mp3.

no clue what to do...

Just play all of your media files in VLC Media Player...that'll solve most any codec problem.

With VLC there's usually no need to install a bunch of random codecs or codec packages...
