Alright - I'm not finding anything substantial (if at all) in my notes or textbook about:
Saxons (unless he means Anglo-Saxons)
Strategoi
Oblate
Magyars (except the sidenote in class)
Jihad
Celts
St. Thomas Aquinas
Monophysites (again, except a sidenote)

And, then I'm having major trouble with the second essay ("European society developed out of..."). Where and when did he say what was a Greco-Roman influence or what was important from Germanic culture? Then again, I might have been daydreaming... but in any case, I wish he had been a little more specific.

All in all, I was just wondering if any of youse guys out there happen to be having the same trouble I am so we can all get our questions answered on Tuesday.
