To avoid being stuck in the world of Flash 7, I had recently been using Wine with Windows Firefox and Flash binaries to enjoy the latest and greatest animations on my laptop (MEPIS 6.0: think Ubuntu 6.06 with KDE instead of GNOME). No longer, as this month's beta plugin has fixed the crashes I've been experiencing (under Firefox 2.0).

Yeah, it would be nice if flash would mix nice with other audio apps. And be in sync.

Hasn't this been out for a month or something? I have been using the beta for quite some time.

Yeppers; I haven't experienced mixing/sync problems yet.

This "Beta 2" was quietly released on the 20th of this month. You're probably thinking about the Beta kickoff, which had lots of crazy issues (that made it unusable for at least some of us).
